Frequently Asked Questions
How much moisturizer am I getting?
Your purchase contains two (2) 4 ounce jars (for a total of 8 ounces) of all natural lotion goodness that will make your hands sing for joy and allow you to crush your busy work schedule.
We designed the bundle for you to have one jar of lotion at work and one jar at home for every day use.
When does my order ship and how much will it cost?
Your order is packaged for shipping the same business day that your order is placed. If you place your order on the weekend, we package your order the next business day.
Once packaged, your order is shipped the following business day via USPS. If you select standard shipping, your order will arrive within 2-3 business days.
For most continental-US orders, shipping Daily Moisturizer for Doctors will cost $4.90.
If you spend $59 or more on your order, you don't pay for shipping!
Example scenario: You place your order on Monday. The bundle is packaged on Monday. It ships via USPS on Tuesday, and you receive your hand-saving, work-crushing package on Thursday or Friday that same week.
How long does Daily Moisturizer last?
It depends on how often you use Daily Moisturizer.
For someone who washes his or her hands throughout the day, anticipated use for your hands would be 3-4 times throughout the day. At that rate, one jar Daily Moisturizer would be expected to last between 2-3 months. So, this 2-jar bundle will theoretically last between 4-6 months with normal use.
If you use it on your whole body (see below), it will last a shorter time.
Where can I use Daily Moisturizer?
Daily Moisturizer was initially designed to be used as a hand lotion for busy doctors who wash their hands all day. When we discovered how great of an overall lotion it was, and the feedback we got from our first customers, we realized it's actually a great all over lotion.
So, Daily Moisturizer can be used anywhere on your body and by anyone (not just doctors)! It's great for your face, neck, arms, legs, and body. Many of our customers use it on their whole body and have reported excellent results with daily facial use.
Daily Moisturizer is NOT intended for use on your eyes or on your lips.
I have sensitive skin. Can I use Daily Moisturizer?
Absolutely. As dermatologists, we are well aware of the common ingredients that lead to skin problems--ingredients like parabens, fragrances, and even essential oils. We purposefully exclude ingredients that may cause allergy or skin rashes.
Daily Moisturizer is made for any skin type, including sensitive skin.
*Please note, it's very uncommon for individuals to have intolerance to niacinamide. Daily Moisturizer does contain 1% niacinamide for its antiaging benefits, and therefore, if you have a known allergy or intolerance to niacinamide, Daily Moisturizer may not be suitable for you.
Is Daily Moisturizer a lotion or a cream?
Daily Moisturizer is a hybrid of a lotion and a cream. It's non-greasy and is as light as a lotion, but it's as hydrating as a thick cream.
Tell me about the preservative system that Daily Moisturizer uses.
GREAT question. Let's start with why your lotion needs a preservative.
Preservatives keep your lotion from spoiling. Using plant-derived oils like avocado oil and coconut oil makes it all the more important to use a preservative system because these oils are more prone spoilage over time. It's the same reason why food spoils over time.
Daily Moisturizer uses a combination of sorbic acid and phenoxyethanol. Both are found in nature. Sorbic acid is made by plants that make berries, while phenoxyethanol is made by the leaves of plants that are used to make tea. We chose these two ingredients because not only are they highly effective preservatives, but they are also naturally occurring, which gives us peace of mind.
